Fund Raiser Plans Announced, Craft vendors wanted
The board of directors for NorthLake Family Recreation Center in Westfield, N.Y. is pleased to announce plans to host it's first major fund raising event. On July 7-8,2006, NorthLake will host an arts and craft fair at the facility on Nichols Ave. Additional activies to be held in conjunction with the craft fair will be announced at a later date.
NorthLake Family Recreation Center is a non-profit corporation governed by a volunteer board of directors and operated by many dedicated volunteers.
Currently, NLFRC has 3 outdoor soccer fields, a baseball field with enclosed dugouts, 2 basketball courts, sand volleyball courts and a concession building which also houses a store and restrooms. It is estimated that the fields are used by over 1,000 youth and adults involved in Varsity School soccer, Southern Tier Travel Soccer, the Village of Westfield Rec. soccer program, area Church League softball, Babe Ruth baseball, Women's Slow Pitch and Men's Modified baseball during the various seasons each year. The facility is also host to many tournaments, both soccer and baseball, throughout the season.
The board of Directors is inviting artisans and crafters to sign up for booth space and help us meet our goals.
The funds collected will go toward the purchase of grounds keeping equipment, upkeep and future projects.
